The Lord’s Strength
By Prophetess Samonia Whisonant Psalm 28:6 -7 Praise be to the Lord for he has heard my cry for mercy The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and he helps me. My hearts leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him. Many of us want and need strength but in reality when we ask for strength, we are asking that the problem to be solved. When we walk with the Lord there are so many tests and trials that it’s a wonder we come out with a sane mind. With tests and trails comes being zapped of our strength to endure and hold up. I had so many things to come on me at one time that I literally felt I was going to black out, I wonder if anyone knows what I talking about? Wave after wave of problems that I wasn’t able to solve yet I felt I was the only one who was responsible to solve them. In these years of being in this world it’s now that I’m learning that there was never any strength in me, just Fathers mercy! The scripture says the Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him… Once we examine that passage of scripture we learn that our heavenly Father doesn’t just give us strength, but He is strength! And he is the shield! All we have to do is allow our hearts to trust in Him…wow! Sounds so easy to do, but yet for most of us that’s the hardest part to do. So how do we become strong, by allowing Daddy to take over and trusting in Him to be our strength and shield. I want to say to everyone out there we have no strength, for when we cry for mercy, he will become our strength if we just let our hearts trust Him. Content copyright 2017. SoLo Parenting Magazine.
