I’ll show my children right from wrong,
encourage dreams and hope; explain respect for others, while teaching them to cope with outside pressures, inside fears, a world that’s less than whole; and through it all I’ll nurture my children’s most precious soul! Though oftentimes a struggle, this job I’ll never trade; for in my hand tomorrow lives….a future God has made. Unknown The Lord’s Strength
By Prophetess Samonia Whisonant Psalm 28:6 -7 Praise be to the Lord for he has heard my cry for mercy The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and he helps me. My hearts leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him. Many of us want and need strength but in reality when we ask for strength, we are asking that the problem to be solved. When we walk with the Lord there are so many tests and trials that it’s a wonder we come out with a sane mind. With tests and trails comes being zapped of our strength to endure and hold up. I had so many things to come on me at one time that I literally felt I was going to black out, I wonder if anyone knows what I talking about? Wave after wave of problems that I wasn’t able to solve yet I felt I was the only one who was responsible to solve them. In these years of being in this world it’s now that I’m learning that there was never any strength in me, just Fathers mercy! The scripture says the Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him… Once we examine that passage of scripture we learn that our heavenly Father doesn’t just give us strength, but He is strength! And he is the shield! All we have to do is allow our hearts to trust in Him…wow! Sounds so easy to do, but yet for most of us that’s the hardest part to do. So how do we become strong, by allowing Daddy to take over and trusting in Him to be our strength and shield. I want to say to everyone out there we have no strength, for when we cry for mercy, he will become our strength if we just let our hearts trust Him. Content copyright 2017. SoLo Parenting Magazine. Many of us quote this scripture to indicate that we have come to a battle or storm. But the Lord said many of my people are quoting this and haven’t even begun the race. Like so many people we like to think we have started something and really we haven’t. I’m not saying that we haven’t been through battles; most of us have been through plenty. But what he was satisfied in was that along with the battles he accomplished his personal destiny God had laid out for him. The question that many of us face, is have we begun the road to our destiny before we are ready to say we have finished the race. Has the race ever started, and if it did where are you in the race? What lap are you on, or have you stopped in the middle of the track watching others pass you by? God’s purpose is for us to finish what he created for us to do, but most of the time we get tired and weary from all of life’s troubles. We look at what other people have accomplished, and get upset because we feel we are nowhere near our goals. When Father gives us a mandate it’s for us to start it, and He will walk along beside of us to help get it done. I know it may require some very hard work on our part, but nothing is worth having unless we put some sweat and faith in it. So this message is to encourage you to begin the race before you say you have finished it! How Strong Is Your Faith? Hebrews 11:1 King James Version Now Faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen International Standard Version Now faith is the assurance that what we hope for will come about and the certainty that what we cannot see exists. How strong is your faith? How strong are the people’s faith that is in Christ Jesus? I would surmise that we all would say “pretty strong”. The truth is most of us waiver in our faith from time to time, because of what we don’t see. We start off so strong believing God for miracles in our lives, but then as time goes by we haven’t seen even a glimmer of light. We try to hold on but our grip looses its hold on the faith factor. Pretty soon we no longer want to even speak about it, we start to doubt if we really heard God. Or then we say “maybe I wasn’t supposed to get this, maybe it just wasn’t in the will of God for me” I want to say STOP IT! It is in the will of God for His children to be happy and prosperous, but we have to stop listening to the enemy of this world and the enemy within. Sometimes God has given us some instructions first, and we don’t follow them. We want our miracle right now, but he wants to sharpen our dedication to Him. Faith not only sharpens our dedication to Him but it also opens our hearts and mind for change. Faith can also cancel out depression and anxiety, when we place everything on God; it releases the burdens from off of us. Faith can also be an exciting time if we allow, it can be one of the greatest adventures if we let it. Someone once said to me “I just love to see how God is going to produce a thing, what ways and tactics, what people he will use to provide His promise to me” Awe…. just to watch our Heavenly Father work…now that is just pure artistry! To watch God work on our behalf is just amazing if we let him. What do you believe God for right now? Don’t let the words the enemy is speaking to you make you give in. Now is not the time it give up, we got to have bulldog Faith! Lock your teeth in that promise and don’t let go! As you hold on worship and praise Him, release the doubts and now pull in your faith!
